Student-Led Conferences Reflection

What happened?

My parents and I came to school to talk about what I have done and am doing this year.

I took them though a slideshow that we had prepared in class before the conferences.

What did you like/dislike about it?

I like that we could share our learning in the environment we are in everyday and on our laptops.
I disliked that there was to much time left over.

What feedback did your whanau give you?

They enjoyed seeing the classroom environment that I work in everyday. Also they enjoyed the one on one time with the teacher just talking about my learning. But they would like to have had and extra 5 minutes to talk to the teacher about support strategies that my parents and I can do at home to help my learning.

What would you change if you could?

I would change the time length so you get more time with the teacher and not just the slideshow on the computer. Also I would change having three people in the class to 1 or 2 families.
